The floor plan of this boat doesn't do justice to the amount of space found in its main cabin. Unfortunately, the Tanzer 28 has something of an odd appearance. The kindest thing that can be said about it is that it looks like an over inflated Tanzer 22. If you don't mind its appearance, the Tanzer 28 could be the boat for you if you are looking for a very affordable 28 footer with lots of room and an inboard diesel. Note that this boat was replaced by the completely redesigned Tanzer 8.5 (also a 28 footer), and care should be taken not to confuse the two when shopping on the used market. by Michael McGoldrick.
